It's obvious that 'knowledge' is not necessarily intelligence?

Trust me, I won't be going. If I ever do come back to the UK from Oz, London would be about 187 on my list of places I would choose to live.

Most big world class cities are, that`s why they are cosmopolitan and have all the advantages that go with it.

Be interesting to know what the other 186 plceas are? Given that London is probably one of the best places to live in Europe (Of course you gotta have the money though to live there)

I'm guessing that you're not British Jules as you seem to have missed the intended sarcasm and humour in the post you originally replied to about 'bloody foreigners'.

You are correct I am not British but I did notice that "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" was being sarcastic Just thought I`d query it anyway.

If I were to confine myself to the British Isles it would be on an "anywhere but London" policy. Don't get me wrong, London is a stunning city... to visit, but how the Hell people manage to live there is beyond me.

The Economist Inteligence Unit consistantly vote Melbourne and Vancouver the "world's most liveable cities". I'm bored with Melbourne after 1 year. Each to their own.

Exactly. I lived in cities long enough, or so I thought, and settled in regional Australia. That's proved to be just too quiet, but London is a step too far in the other direction
