On the political infighting, the drama is also less than accurate.

I'm not. It's a poor remake of Downton Abbey (minus the magnificent Maggie) with an ugly splash of Charles Dickens.

No more for me.

I'm watching One Of Us (BBC). I'm intrigued by the plot; after two episodes I'm still not sure where it is going. It stars Juliet Stevenson, who is one of my favourite actors.

For the history try Philip Ziegler's biography of Melbourne, and Elizabeth Longford's of Victoria.

You have failed, however to address the Rufus Sewell issue. Is he or isn't he still eye catching?

Two episodes up right now. Worth a watch. Also for Rufus Sewell who is still quite yummy. Much nicer than Poldark

I hope it's an improvement on the last series...I thought it lost its way a little.

Watching Chris Tarrants Extreme Railways on Channel 5, probably only for the rail buffs out there. I learnt a bit about Alaska on the final episode.
