I'm just catching up on Nighty Night.

I'm not sure what to make of it but there are some good laughs among the cringe making parts.

Having VPN woes again, so no British telly for a week now Hubby and the Geek Squad trying to fix the problem that apparently occurred when I had to upgrade to the latest version of the VPN. Really pissed off as I appearing to be missing some good programs

Dr Foster was good. Ray Winstone drama on ITV not bad, ending bit wishy washy. Looking forward to Strictly and Downton Abbey.

The latest version of This Is England (90) just kicked off. The movie and the others were really good.

Downton first episode of series six: hmmmm...a bit schmaltzy. The only interesting character left is Lady Edith.

Planning a double-header of Downton and Dr. Who tonight now that I have the VPN issue sorted

OH loved Ray Winstone (whatever the thing was called) but I'm watching Dr. Foster on my own as it is too chick-flicky for him. Only seen 1st episode so far.

I have Sky TV - I think it's the basic version because I had the movies/sports package deleted. I am shocked the programs are so bad. My favourites are:

Escape to the Country
Doc Martin
Fear the walking dead
Coronation Street
X Factor
America's got talent
Location, Location, Location
A place in the sun
Midsomer Murders, Lewis, Morse etc

I tend to rely on Netflix on my iPad. About to get an Apple TV box so I can stream from iPad to TV. The landlord left an X box here and apparently you can stream iPad movies to TV using that but I don't know how to do it.

There was no impression of an introduction to the character. Whether this was because there had been earlier versions or the books were so well known I have no idea.
Saw the second tonight. Also very good.

I shall give them a bit more priority now

Did anyone hear about the big spoiler alert dropped on Downton Abbey? According to newspaper reports yesterday there's going to be a surprise wedding (I'm assuming this is besides Mrs. Hughes and Mr. Carson's, that is). The cast had been filming in the church in Bampton and a crew member apparently left behind an "Order of Service" in one of the pews which was picked up by a member of the public. I did not read beyond that point as with this being the final season, I would like a surprise. That being said, if you feel the same as me, pay heed to those "spoiler alerts".

The newspaper reporting that also stated that they were NOT going to reveal the names of those involved.

Thanks! Enjoyed episode 2 much more than 1. Why doesn't Edith just spill teh beans with Mary, it would make things so much simpler. And with at art nouveau bob like that, I'm sure Lady Mary could handle any such news!

Certainly, it's not like she doesn't have her fair share of skeletons in the closet.

Mike - You're braver than me, I didn't want to read too far.
