Hi Lorac,
I tracked your flight until I went to bed. I see it took off 2 hours late so hope you made that connecting flight in Amsterdam . Hope your return is everything you want it to be.:)

I'm home!!! Yes the flight did take off two hours late due to the plane coming from Atlanta having engine problems. However Delta were aware of this and were re-booking everyone's connecting flight at check in at Newark - I was pushed to a flight leaving Amsterdam at 11:30am UK time. I was able to call my parents to let them know from Newark that I would be arriving at 12:50pm instead of 13:30am.

And I had a welcome committee - my parents and my sister with her two kids with ballons saying "Welcome Home"!! Slept very well last night and will take a few days to get my legs back before getting going.

Terrific to read you are back on home turf, Lorac. You must be feeling tons of relief to finally be "home".

Linda - The long loving arms of the UK will reach out to encircle you in its embrace :)

BUTTERFLY SUN
My beautiful bright sun
I open my wings to you
To feel your warmth,
Your light, and your joy.
Come warm my body
Through my outstretched wings
And I will fly . . . fly . . . fly
And revel in your rays forever.

You're welcome, Linda. I wrote that poem to accompany a piece of music called "Butterfly Waltz" and its symbolism touches many facets of life.

If we stay "open", we will truly be encircled by the beauty of nature and all it has to offer.

Oh, that was your poem! So beautiful. And those are my thoughts exactly on the beauty of nature. That is why I have decided to look for a place by the sea and hopefully close to more of the beauty of nature. If I can have that, I am happy. My second cousin thinks I should move to Devizes because they have this supermarket and that supermarket. Those aren't the things I am looking for in a place. Quite the reverse.

I quite agree, Linda. Go for the peace and nature and the beautiful views. When you have that, the rest is easy.

I am going to look at Devon, Somerset and Wales. My family originates from all three places and I have been watching quite a bit of all three on BBC's Escape to the Country. That show not only shows you the homes but the beautiful countryside and villages. It's wonderful.
