I am simply responding to people who are intent on slagging off the country I live in.
Especially when they are comparing it to America's poor northern cousin.

and just maybe its because of people who have the same attitude as yourself, that people like me and many others, are wanting to leave the UK and give another country a try.Give the girl a break, and before you start having a go at me, I occasionally read this forum to try and get a balanced view from those who have already left and are now returning.

Is that the latest excuse that people are using for chucking their family and friends and moving to somewhere thousands of miles away? I can't keep up. I thought it was chavs/crime/house prices/floods/immigrants/space aliens - turns out it's now people on a forum entitled "moving back to the UK" who have the cheek to defend the place against some exaggerted insults about the country.
I think I'll go on the Canadian forum, state that every single part of that country is piled high in traffic and litter and wait for the balanced, reasoned responses.

Not at all, we have a good life in the UK, but want to try something different whilst we are still young enough to do it.I responded to the post because I felt Piff Poff was being unfairly slated!

but there's really no need to worry, because she was in fact being rightly slated for posting a load of bitter, inacurate nonsense that's just pure scare-mongering and of no use to anyone considering a move back. Litter and traffic aren't "everywhere". Anyone who claims they are is just being silly.
