West cork parents
Hi, myself, husband and two sons (6 and almost 5yrs old)
are at present viewing a property to rent in schull for 6 months with a view to buying in the area. We are home schooling until we know where our house will be (I don't want to disrupt the kids too much)
Are there any clubs or meet ups? I'd like the boys to meet some other children and I would love to meet new people. My kids are chatty, friendly, sociable and miss having playmates. We have been travelling for the past 10 months.
I noticed there isn't a netmums site for this area, if anyone can suggest anything I would appreciate it. We are here for this week and then the proper move will be from 15th sept. I guess a lot of children make friends once in school, if anyone can recommend decent friendly schools that would be useful to know to.
Thanks
Kerry

Re: West cork parents
Hi, we just moved over in April and are renting in the area until our house purchase completes.
My little boy is 5 and will be starting school next week. He started Reception class in England last September but when we arrived here, we enrolled him in the local pre-school instead. 5+ seems normal to be starting junior infants here rather than 4+ in the UK.
I'm sure there must be a pre school near you. They only go mornings and at least you get the opportunity to meet other families.
