Becoming an Irish citizen through marriage
I am not sure whether I fully understand the information in the following webpage of "Becoming an Irish citizen through marriage or civil partnership":
Becoming an Irish citizen through marriage or civil partnership
Background Information:
Applicant: Non-EEA national
Spouse/Sponsor: Irish Citizen
Period of Stay: 1 year in Ireland, 2 years in Northern Ireland
After being married and giving the permission (Stamp4, etc) to stay in Ireland legally, the applicant (by being issued EEA Family Permit, EEA Resident Card, UK Spouse Visa, etc) and his spouse move to Northern Ireland.
Does the applicant meet the requirement of stay by physically presenting with his spouse in the island of Ireland for 3 years to apply for Irish Citizenship?

You need to be married and living together on the island of Ireland for at least three out of the least five years to qualify for naturalisation under this route so one year in the RoI followed by two years in NI would meet this requirement.
