I am planning to stay for 4 days/3 nights in Venice. Is this enough to
see much of Venice?
Several tour companies are offering the following day trips from Venice:
'Hill Towns of Veneto', 'Dolomites Day Tour', and 'Palladio Villa Day
Tours'. Which one of these would you recommend? Please feel to suggest
other tours.
Thanks.

Those sound like pretty hefty day trips. Suggestion: Venice is expensive
enough to think about spending all the time you stay there actually in the
city of Venice. If you want day trips, maybe hole up in Mestre and go from
there. Way cheaper. You could spend weeks in Venice, but 3 or 4 days will
definitely give you a good taste of it..

3 nights is two full days -- this is not much time to see Venice but
certainly time for a taste -- it would IMHO insane to take a day trip
out of this time.
spend a day seeing the obligatory sights like San Marco and climbing the
bell tower and the Doges Palace etc -- spend your other day just walking
as far as you can -- if you had more time, a boat right out to the
Burano for lunch and to walk around would be worth doing.

Yes, that's a nice vacation.

I would wait until I got there and see if I wanted to take a day trip. It's a
bit of a haul getting in and out. Of the three, I probably would take the
Palladio day trip, but would want to see itinerary. The Dolomites would be a
nice day trip, in some respects, but on the other hand it seems like a long ride
for just a day, especially when your trip is on the short side to begin with.

I agree with the fact that you should stay in Venice for the 4 days.
Don't take any organised tour. Venice is a city to walk through (perhaps
with a good guidebook). Definitely go to Burano for a visit and Torcello
for lunch. You don't need a tour for that, you need to take the vaporetto
from Fundamente Nueve, (look for the right number, there are 3 or 4 of them
that go to the isles). Try to reach Torcello fairly early in order to make a
reservation in one of the two excellent restaurants of the isle. If you
manage to be outside, it will be gordious !
Have a lot of fun in Venice,

thats fine unless your a rea culture vulture. Venice is so full of
rubbernecking tourists I'd would have had enough by then.

Having gone to the trouble of getting into Venice, why then take a
trip out? Your paying Venice prices for Venice, not to sit on a coach!
If you want a day trip, consider a boat to some island.
