As a newbie to the group is there an FAQ file on tour operators in Europe. I
am interested in recommended groups for the mid to low end traveler.

Not that I'm aware of. Feel free to start one.

I think you'll find a couple of things to be true. 1) Folks in this
group tend not to use tour operators much. 2) Folks interested in
the "mid to low end" tend to use them the least. They also tend
to be the lowest profit margins for tour operators so there is a
high correlation between disatisfaction and these operators.
