Good downtown hotels from which to explore Vienna and Budapest?
Finally, last post of my travel planning, does anyone have any
recommendations for good hotels (3* and up) from which it's easy for a
few walkers to explore Vienna and Budapest? Not at the same time,
obviously. :-)

Re: Good downtown hotels from which to explore Vienna and Budapest?
We stayed for New Year at The Star Hotel where double rooms are around 23500
Forints (EUR 95) and were perfectly happy with it. I've also stayed in the
past at Apartments Victor Hugo which have catering facilities in the rooms.
Both are at the lower end of the cost scale so if you can afford it you
might want to go upmarket a bit. These 2 are good, clean budget options. In
fact the Star is quite nice.
