St Peter's and Vatican
Just wondering if anyone knows whether St. Peter's Square and/or Basilic
will be open once the conclave starts? I know the Sistine will be
closed, but wondered about the rest of Vatican City.
thanks.

I suspect that at a minimum the gardens will also be closed.

The Vatican has said that apart from the Sistine Chapel and some other rooms
('sealed' for the conclave), the Vatican Museums will stay open, as St
Peter's Basilica. The tomb of JP II isn't yet accessible to the public.
