Ryanair Stansted Express discounts?

An ongoing topic ... In March 2004 you could buy a reduced-price
return ticket if you showed a Ryanair booking at the Exchange kiosk at
Track 10 of the Liverpool Street Station. In October 2004, I went
there on a Saturday and the kiosk was closed with a sign stating that
their nearest location was at the Stansted track. The British Rail
guy said that Ryanair no longer offer reduced price tickets. I ended
up buying a return for L 24 (one way was L 13). As another reader
pointed out, even if there is a
discount, it might be better to book a return ticket from your local
station.
The cost is frightful, but going by coach (bus) can take 3 hours
versus the 45 minutes of the train. Oh well.

Stansted Express tickets used to be offered for sale on board Ryanair
flights to Stansted. However a few weeks back on a flight back from
Ancona I was on no mention was made.
Perhaps they've discontinued selling the special rate fares.
