Riad in Marrakech & Fes

I have posted below on rec.travel.africa and hope you don't mind me trying
here also.
1. Any recommendations for a riad in the above cities, from those who have
stayed in the past 1-2 years?
Not sure what you get but expect to pay about 700 +dirhams (60+ euros)?
2. In Marrakech, we arrive at the airport & need transport to a riad (how?).
3. In Fes, we will arrive by train & need transport to a riad (how?).
4. Are guides readily available (I'm guessing that the riad owners will
know) and what is reasonable payment for (say) half day?
Advice on any of the above will be much appreciated.
Thanks, Andrew from Oz.

MARRAKECH : Stayed in Riad Jonan last year. Owned by English guys who do a
great job. It's situated in the casbah part of Marrakech old city and it is
about a 20 minute walk to the main square and the souks. Martyn the owner
arranged a pick up at the airport and gave some good advice on where to go
and see. Basically there is the new French part of the city and the old
medina where there action is ! Maybe the Jonan is not the cheapest but it
suited us fine and you can go on the roof and relax ! There was some talk of
him buying the adjacent property to enlarge his riad but not sure if this
has yet come about. I would stay there again. All rooms are slightly
different.

-----------
Unfortunately just too many self-appointed guides are available.
But to ask the host to arrange for a guide is probably a good idea as it's
likely to be a reliable one and he keeps off those many self-appointed
disturbing you.
