Default r.t.e. dinner in Paris

So, who ate what?

(And would anyone be interested in a London dinner?)

When the worst SF food is better than the best London food? :-)

I would. I'm there enough, but I've a feeling juggling schedules for
everyone would be tricky.

Oh- not a problem. Iconoclast probably won't be here, so we won't need
to scour those dives he managed to find! :)

arranged some electrons, so they looked like this :

... So, who ate what?

I had a salade au crottin chaud, tuna steak and sorbet to finish.

I saw a potage, some pâté de foie gras, ris de veau, more tuna, a crème brûlée and some
cheese around, but don't remember who ate what. Lots of coffee, too ! Stanislas insisted
that the wine had to be a bordeaux, so that's what we had. One bottle for five people. No
AA amidst us. :)

Gaston (the four-legged one) had only water. The poor dear is on a diet. :(

I suspect he eats in a Dave's Diner and doesn't fully appreciate
greasy spoon cuisine.

In the nineteen fifties there was a real place called Dave's Diner in
Windsor. I went there once with a group of fellow students. One girl
turned her nose up at bacon, egg, chips, beans, tinned tomatoes, ...
and asked if they had anything else like an omelet for example. The
owner denied all knowledge of omelets and said it was take it or leave
it. She left it.

I had escalope de foie gras, tuna and creme brulee. Donna had foie gras,
ris de veau and Vacherin, Earl had an egg thing and steak, Stanislas had
potage, magret de canard, and coffee.

Considering the place was selected at random from a guide book I thought
it was pretty nice.

Well, I was going to suggest that a Mexican on Leicester Sq. would be the
appropriate place!

Oh, I've a better suggestion. Any place that, on the menus, has "First
things First!" above the starter selection and "Down to Business!" above
the mains.
