I'm fairly relaxed about salt as I don't add any to anything or eat
many ready meals.

cranberry! Doesn't that make it inflexible? I have a baker 100 yards
away, I buy from him, no idea how much salt.

thats alright, I dont think all food should be produced down to a
price. In any case, plenty of people could do with eating half as much
for the same price!

I was being sarcastic. I think that most people could easily afford
them- it's a question of priorities.

I've mostly used it for toast, but no, you'd be surprised. I've made ham
sandwiches from it for example.

Try a few beers, a couple of Adelaide "meat" pies and a few more beers.

Try pannenkoeken met twee kroketten, applegebak met slagroom and a Heineken.

Try a broodje kaas with so much salt in the cheese that it crunches when you eat
it.

Try a full English breakfast.

You don't have to make a pig of yourself.

Have you tried wringing the injected water and nitrates out of Dutch ham?
Wondered what is in a Unox rookworst?
Wondered why there is pork in a Dutch chicken pie?

By Dutch standards McDs are clean.

Keep that up, Martin!
Suddenly, heaps of folks have started booking a couple of nights with us,
disgusted with your list, and looking forward to decent, freshly cooked
breakfasts.

Anyone remember the Cafe de la Gare, a pub on York Road next to the
footbridge? I loved the food there (cooked by Seymour the chef). Closed
around 1990 when the DES had to hand over the lease when they started
building the Eurostar terminal.

It's only a matter of time before he suggests that the peasants eat cake.

Hopefully.

Actually I don't think I've ever tried it, although a Dutch girl made
me try something once that I think was a kroket.

It didn't do much for me!

without mentioning Volendam too!

I have almost succeeded in putting myself off two weeks in UK. :-)

Jaqueloon? The dirty bitch!

AFAIR the very first time I saw FEBO on Internet was in a post from Top Posting
Tim. I had to look it up as I didn't at first associate it with food.

>It didn't do much for me!

FEBO reminds me of those TV games, where contestants open a box and win a prize
except in this case they always lose.

Say that quick when you are pissed.

When BEA used to have a terminal building in Kensington, there used to be a
butcher across the road who sold perfect steak.

Make your own and control the amount of salt and water in the bread yourself.
Lidl ABM flour makes the best bread for toast.
