Arkady:

You are the living example of an idiot who hates his enemy so much that
he adopts the enemy's tactics to defeat him, and thus becomes his enemy
in every respect.

You used to claim that you came to America to escape unelected
dictatorship. Now you confess that it really doesn't matter to you how
elections are conducted in your new home, as long as "your guy" wins. I
suggest you buy a plane ticket and piss off back to where you came from.
The taxes will be a lot lower than here, and you won't have to stay up
late to see who wins elections.

Of course, there will be only one channel on the TV, but on the other
hand your electricity bill will be a lot lower because the power will be
shut off every night at 10:00 PM.

And you won't have any trouble finding a policeman when you need one to
keep the streets clear of beggars, crooks and left-wing agitators --
there will be one in the lobby of your apartment building, some more on
the street corner outside, two or three more on the bus you take to
work, and a couple outside your office.

No doubt you'll feel a *lot* safer -- and so will we once you're gone.

I guess you did not pay attention in Civics class. Popular vote is not used
for the presidency. The Electoral College was instituted to prevent a
couple of large states from having all the say in the election. And it is
up to the states to pick their electors. Is the state legislatures job.
All the states have instituted popular election verdicts to pick the
electors. The electors are not even legally bound to vote for who they say
they are going to vote for. When you vote for Bush or Kerry or a 3rd party
candidate, you are voting for the electors pledged to him. In Calif., the
electors are only bound to vote for the person they pledged for the first
ballot. Then they can vote for anybody they desire. Is possible that
neither would get the required number of votes and the electorial college
could legally put in Badnarik of the Libertarian party.

Actually, I did... but, as you seem not to recall, it was the inJustices of

The Supremes ruled that you could not change the rules in the middle of the
election. Just like in a poker game. And Bush won all the recounts by all
the news organizations...Ring any bells? And if you have to see if there
was a dimple, to see if there was a vote, then there was not a vote. Most
of the rest of the country managed to use punch cards for years without
these problems. Remember is was Mr. Daly, son of the former Mayor of
Chicago, who was so liked that people voted for him for years after they
were dead and buried, that was in charge of the Gore challenges. And if you
payed attention in Civics class, you would have learned that popular vote
does not count for the presidency.

One has a close to 50-50 chance of guessing right.

In fact the polls are no help nor were they in 2000 when the mostly
predicted Bush getting more popular votes than Gore. The battle
as in 2000 is in the Electoral Votes.

In fact if one is a Democrat in Texas or a Republican in California
why bother to vote, they are both in the respective Bush and Kerry

So we have some close states, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan,
Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and New Mexico. A Bush or Kerry vote
in those states are worth infinitely more than the all ready decided
states. Unless Kerry picks up most of these states, he will lose.

The big unknown is how the newly registered voters will really vote.
The polls are having increasing difficulty getting information on
these people and what polls are published are a bit all over the map.

We will not know until Wednesday morning how all this went and whether
we get a 2000 replay of no decision until the votes are recounted.

My feeling is that largely, the US remains "une nation des cons",
at least in the majority.

At the Nuremburg Party Rally, Rudolph Hess said:

"Hitler ist Deutschland und Deutschland ist Hitler"`

Today, it is "Bush is America and America is Bush"

People need to remember that the Iraqi invasion was a non-essential
invasion of CHOICE. Saddam was a bad man, but he and the Iraqi people
had nothing to do with 9-11 or any attacks against America.

Greed motivated Bush/Cheney to stupidly take their eyes off of the
terrorist Osama and get side tracked in Iraq a terribly expensive
mistake. Bush/Cheney/ & Rumsfeld have the blood of about 10,000
Americans and 150,000 innocent Iraqis (who did nothing to us) on their
hands. And Osama Bin Laden is free as a bird - running around
appearing on international tv.

Bush has given people all over the world thousands of reasons to hate
the USA - as a result we are far less safe now, than we were back
before 9-11.

If the Bush regime stays in power, the world situation will get much
worse than it is now.

A Kerry regime can and will do a better job.

A vote for Kerry is a vote for sanity!
A vote for Bush is a vote for hell on earth!

Remember: Kerry for Sanity
Bush for Hell on earth

Hi,

well I'm a true constitutional conservative in Mississippi... which WILL
go bush... and while I dislike G.W.Bush less than I dislike G.H.W.Bush
I'm not real fond of him.

so I voted Libertarian.

most probably won't.

last time the votes were counted again and again and the looser was
still unhappy.
