Default Plane ticket

I have a return plane ticket from Zurich to Minneapolis that I want to
sell. It expires on July 8,2003 and I want to stay here longer. Is
anyone interested or does anyone know where I may sell it. Also, I am
looking to buy a 1-way ticket - any suggestions on how to do that?

Are you aware of that an airticket is personal and valid for the name and
person indicated on the ticket only. May be transferred only with the
agreement of the airline and they are usually reluctant to do so. To show
up with an airticket issued to someone else is likely to be denied boarding.

Any travel bureau will be happy to sell a full price single ticket. To get
a less expensive ticket you can always shop around and ask but I think it's
quite unlikely you'll get anything now in peak tourist season.

Will the airline allow you to transfer it to someone else? If you can
do so without an exhorbitant fee, you can probably get the flight
changed to a later date, as well.

Airline tickets are *never* transferrable.

Full Y and the like might be refundable, which comes close but it's still not the same.

FYI, On Easyjet you can transfer tickets for a fee. I don't think it
would be the one the OP refers to though.

You sure it's not cancellation + reissuing though?

I have no idea. I personally don't know any other airline that lets you
make a name change. Maybe there are others.

Anyway, here is the text on the site:

Once you have made your easyJet booking, names of passengers may be
changed on payment of an administration fee per passenger, per one-way
flight. In addition, if there is a difference between the original fare
paid and the current fare available at the time the change is made, the
customer will be liable for the increase in fare.

Passengers must call the easyJet call centre (+44 (0) 870 6 000 000) at
least two hours prior to the flight's scheduled departure time to make
the necessary changes or go to the airport sales desk at least one hour
prior to the scheduled departure time. Passengers can transfer flights
for a fee per passenger per leg of the journey, plus any difference in
the total cost of the flight applicable at the time the change is made.
If the available fare is lower on the new flight, no refund will be
issued. Click here for more details.

I just got done transferring tickets/name change with SAS. Tickets were
purchased from expedia.

Odds are technically, tickets were canceled and new ones reissued.
Standard IATA tickets are not transferrable.

I just changed a ticket I got off of Orbitz last week. We were
supposed to fly to New York this feb. when we got all the snow. They
cancled a ton of flights, so we could either reschedule for a few days
later (stand by) or just use them later. We just decided to use them
later. We went to sedona last week to play golf. It was amazingly
easy. I dont know it that is technicly transferrable, but it is
basically the same thing.
