Usually it is referred to, in American English, as "Yucky food"
Yucky meaning anything a person doesn't like!

A story by Mark Twain, who spent some time in the Nevada mining
town of Virigina City is that the richer miners had lobsters
brought in from the Pacific coast over the Nevada mountains.

The local Indians, having never seen lobster, thought the
white men were crazy in eating these monster sized insects.
Real yucky.

I disagree. The crust is there only as a support to the toppings. The thinner the crust,
the better.

I can quite imagine their disgust, lobsters do look rather like
giant cockroaches!

Sure, but I think its a shame to miss out on big areas of good
tasting food because of a squeamishness which seems to increase
as a society gets further and further from dealing with its own
food and accustomed to the sterile supermarket product.

Ah, my turn to say *you* have the wrong end of the stick! Miguels
comment was ironic (I assumed anyway) and meant the opposite of
what you thought. So all three of us agree thin is best and the
deep pan pizza is an abomination. Sweetness and light.

I like crisp thin based pizzas too
The topping was much better on most Californian pizzas I had.
Dr. Oetkers deep frozen pizzas are better than any that the local
Italian restaurants sell.

To be honest, I genuinely dislike the greasy-cracker stuff.

See, you forget that I was raised in the American traditions of irony (i.e.,
none) and I find sarcasm to be both offensive and incomprehensible.

That's interesting, I naturally read your post as heavy irony,
there we go! That and the fuss about shooting the president PJ
raised, show how different the US sense of humor is from the
English sense of humour.
No sarcasm and armed citizenry, remind me not to go to America!
    :-) Mind you, I would be able to complement people in that
English way that means the opposite and get away with it.
