It works well if done well. However, most just use canned tuna
which misses the opportunity.

My wife described the ones we got in the south of France, years
ago. No cheese, olive oil soaked crusts, mussels, shrimp and some
tuna, and herbs.

The hot oil goes better with this that other types of pizza.

The problem is that most pizza places in France are cheap
and the save on the ingredients. It is the kind of food
teenagers eat on a night out on the town. They eat a pizza,
a caraf of water and no wine and have coffee, total bill
well under 15 euros.

Reminds me of Dracula's mad assistant who liked to eat bugs.

Depends of what one is talking about. Oysters filter water like
your Eastern Oyster (Crassostrea virginica)

From the web, one finds--

"How do oysters eat? Oysters are filter-feeders. They suck in water and
filter out the plankton and detritus to swallow. Then they spit the water
back out. (Detritus is dead plant and animal matter.) They also accidentally
filter out and collect any poisons that might be in the water. This cleans
the water, but is not so good for the oysters. Because these poisons are
more likely to be in coastal waters in the summer months, it is usually not
safe to eat oysters in the summer time. Oysters have gills and get their
oxygen from the water."

Crabs are scavengers and will eat almost anything.

You may be fixated for emotional reasons on "excrement", however. See
your shrink.

I am not an big shell fish fan, myself, although like mussels. My
wife and daughter will attack a plateau de fruits de mer with gusto.
I am the only one who has had hepatitis in the family!

Lots of people eat insects.

I'd have trouble bringing myself to eat them, same with oysters.

Yes, there is a side road that'd save about 2 minujtes, but sometimes it is
better to explain the easiest route to follow not the quickest.

Come on then tell me where - I need more than that.

(and do they sell Hamburgers?)

I've never had one but I've seen mincemeat pizzas on menus, and seen people
eat them.

    | It's sad that Pizza Hut may represent to France the American
    | interpretation of pizza.

It's even sadder that it may represent to America the un-interpreted
authentic pizza.

(and tell me why I keep spelling Galleria wrong :-) )

I am trying to remember. Maybe I'll have to ask a friend - really.

Face the Galleria and follow the road past a department store to the
right for about two blocks I have vague recollections of a square.

I can recommend a good fish restaurant in Milan too, if only my memory
would function. I just realised that it's about 8 years since I was
last in Milan.

Fish restaurant
Trattoria il FARO Piazza S Materno 8 tel 2846838
I was last there 22 March 1996 or so it says on the stolen menu :-)

The problem with the sandwich place was that there was an enormous
amount of very tasty free goodies on the bar, that you could help
yourself to, often I over did it whilst I was waiting for my sandwich
to be made.

    >(and do they sell Hamburgers?)

I am not sure there were two parts, we only ever gorged in the
sandwich part.

Maybe we should ask the audience ?

I dont remember a square down there, there is an open area in front of a
church, but its hardly a square.

I dont like sea-food, except good old British Cod and Chips on Brighton
Pier.

Maybe we should organise an rte meet in Milan in December :-)

It does because it is an extremely effective weight loss mechanism. If
you manage to survive the Liver stress.
