Default Paris Metro / Zone

Hi Folks,
Would anyone know the zone number for the Station porte d'orleans.
This is the last Stop on Line 4. I have looked in the RER / Metro
websites. Could not get the info from there.
Thanks
Abhijit

You're right their maps aren't quite clear. It looks to be right at the
border of 1-2 but I suspect that it's in zone 2 by their map.

Like all stations within the city, it's in zone 1.

It's a Metro station and therefore not in a defined zone (I think!) The
nearest RER stations are in zone 2, as you can see on

I think it is in 1 as pretty much all city stations are -- we had the
same issue with the station by St. Denis -- I thought it was over the
line from looking at the map but had no trouble using my carte orange for it

I don´t know if thats why you´re asking - but as long as you´re using
the Paris metro , you don´t have to worry about zones. Its allways the
same price no matter what.

No, it isn't. If you leave the city itself for Zones 2 and 3, it costs
more.

It is in Zone 1. Clearly shown on the printed maps. All the "portes"
(which were the old city gates) are within the bounds of the city and not
part of the banlieu, the suburbs.

I was referring to the Metro, not the suburban busses and RERs.

No, it doesn't, as the Métro doesn't have exit turnstiles to check
tickets.

Every metro station is zone 1 or 2 and can be accessed with a plain vanilla
metro ticket. Don't worry.

Even La Defense.

But that's not true on RER.

But it still costs the same no matter where you go on the Metro.
Perhaps some posters are confusing Metro and RER.
The visitparis site doesn't show any Metro fares other than
EUR-1.40, although I admit that's not clear to someone not
familiar with the Metro and RER.
