Follow up the hill past the entrance to the Chateau, you will pass on
the right a little store that is built into the foundation of the
chateau wall that sells wine and cheese, a bit further (not muc) you
will find a tea shop/restaurant, my bet is this may be the place (has a
nice patio out back).

There's (at least) two tea shops on that street. The other one (my favorite)
is the Bigot which is opposite the bottom of the ramp that leads up to the
chateau. It's also a chocolate shop.

Somebody earlier in the thread misspelled the name of the town. It's
Amboise. (not a grammar flame but the OP may be trying to Google it).
