We are already doing the Norway in a Nutshell route from Oslo
to Bergen in late June. We have a free day in Bergen and would
like to see more fjords, any recommedation of "must do" scenic
boat tours while in Bergen? Or pointer to website(s) that offer
such information.

See the fjiord on the other side of the Bergan penninsula called
Hardingar, which I actually prefer. They used to market a combo
bus/ferry/rail ticket for this just as with the nutshell tour to
Sonjefjord, but I haven't seen it lately. Certainly you can just use
public transport, but check the tourist office in bergan or train
station.

Just one tip re doing "Norway in the nutshell"
when you get down the bottom of the mountain on the rail,
and the next section is the boat trip along the fjord, watch out for
those who arrive on coaches and take all the boat places
as once boat reaches a certain number
Dont spend too much time in the shopor you may miss the boat.
(even if you have a ticket) it will not allow more on board.
If it is the last boat fro the day you are stuck there.
BTW all of it is good trip.
