Does anyone with experience of new years eve in Munich able to offer any
good suggestions of where to go for a lively time?

The Augustiner Braustuben is always one of my first ports of call when in
Munchen.
Can get busy as its popular with the locals, unlike the Hofbrauhaus which is
popular with tourists.
The best Germanic Cuisine and the finest beers await.
