need help with Italy (Rome, Florance, Pisa and Venice)
As a part of our 3 week trip to Europe, we would like visit/see Rome,
Florance, Pisa, Venice. We will be coming from and going back to
Frankfurt. We have planned for 3 nights and 4 days.
1. After we arrive in Rome, is there any packged tour that we can take,
that will take us from rome to other cities.
2. What agencies are good for the local trips in all the places
3. What are important places to be visited at all the places
4. Any suggestions for good, decent and cheap accomodations (3 adults
and 2 kids) at rome, florance and Venice
Thank you in advance.

The answer to
1. is yes, but you probably don't need it
2. There are local tour operators in all three cities that you mention
3. Depends on your religious leanings for Rome, but Vatican is a must
for many as for the rest get a good guide book. It really depends upon
your interests, for some the Academia in Florence is essential for
others the reproduction of David will suffice.
4. If you want cheap accomodations, you will have trouble with #1 above.
Those of us who sell products fitting to #1 want to make a commmission.

Re: need help with Italy (Rome, Florance, Pisa and Venice)
If you only have 4 days/3 nights, then don't try to see more than one
of those cities, or you will spend most of your trip in trains and
train stations and going to and from hotels.
If you haven't been to Italy before, I'd recommend that you spend the
whole 4 days in Rome. There's so much to see there, and the kids will
probably like it a lot more than Venice or Florence. I would
personally recommend one day each for (1) ancient sites, (2) St.
Peter's and the Vatican Museum, and (3) other churches and baroque
architecture. Given that you're travelling with children, if their
attention spans are short, you may want to stick to a few sights - the
Colosseum, St. Peter's, the Trevi Fountain, and the Sistine Chapel
should impress even the most jaded teenager or disinterested small
child.

You do not have enough time to see these four places, unless
by "seeing" you mean only going to and from the train stations or
airports.
