Macintosh have structured their pricing > to make it appear value, but when you go to add on something... Make your mind up, it's not that long since you were complaining that Macs are expensive machines. Now you are complaining that the peripherals are expensive. Except that isn't true either. I added a terabyte of storage for my laptop recently. It cost the same price as it did to add a terabyte to my PC laptop. In fact (gasp) I simply plugged the same connector into each laptop and swap the same drive between each computer. And I use the same scanner, the same printers, the same server, and even in the case of the bespoke software I'm using for the current project, the same software. Heck I even use the same memory and the same internal drives on both platforms. So what is there to add on that costs so much more on the Mac than on the PC and what hardware am I tied into in such a way that Apple forces me to buy at their (hypothetically inflated) price? |

I did warn you about making a fool of yourself again. Find out the difference between a "Mac computer" and a random piece of Apple hardware. (In fact I'm grateful to you for posting these pics - I may buy the cheap monitor to plug into my Mac Mini computer.) It's not hard to find items of hardware that are cheaper than superficially similar Apple kit elsewhere - I'll give you another for free - iPod socks and Marks and Spencers socks. B; |

Ah, you have an inability to tell the difference between arse and elbow. Why didn't you say so earlier? Heck if you prefer the LG monitor (or something cheaper like an Acer or Samsung) to an Apple monitor, why not buy the LG? It will still work with Apple kit. Or did you imagine that Apple computers will only work with Apple displays? |
