Its still my opinion that for a foreign visitor the classic hills are
the appropriate choice, not those available to PT

You really think I'd care what grade you or someone else would give it?
I go up hills because it's good exercise, and I like the views, and the
fresh air. The one I'm referring to is Wansfell Pike- it's an easy walk
with great views over Windermere, Lancashire, even to the coast. We took
the ferry to Ambleside, walked up to Wansfell Pike, then over to a pub
in Troutbeck, then walked back to Windermere.

Reid! Horne! Outside NOW!

But Sir, he started it!

No I didn't, it was Horne who said I could get to Great Prattling on
Sea by bus and I couldn't.

You didn't read the timetable properly.

Huh! Every other Saturday as long as there's an *R* in the month.

QUIET! Oh, and Reid, you're not allowed to put you car in the staff
car-park.

But Sir, I have to put it somewhere safe so I can keep an eye on it.
Stops poeple like Horne scrawling *Polluter* all over it with
whiteboard marker.

Obscenities in the dirt on the backs of white vans, gas guzzlers and
their vehicles is David's specialty

Getting from Leven, 10 miles N of Hull, to Ruswarp by public transport
is more than a bit of a challenge. Likewise Newcastle to Whitby after
about 7 pm.

and then there are all the places with a once or twice weekly bus
service

and not the way women laugh when asked for sex once a month.

There is a company in the Scarborough area called PMS they advertise
on the local radio.

I'd be sorely tempted when I pass the hummer dealership near me, but
they seem to keep them very clean.

Hint:
From a BBC program about racist parking meter attendants in the NE of

Of course not

I would add exercising navigation skills, battling with the weather
and not falling off, "views" although accurate does not for me convey
the terrible beauty of the mountains, but then what would I know, a
mere accountant set against an artiste?

you just ambled up the side?

Glad you said it was near Ambleside otherwise I wouldnt have found it.
IIRC the ex chef from the Wasdale Head is now chef at one of the two
pubs in Troutbeck, "The Mortal Man", ive done a walk east from
Troutbeck, (Kentmere), never been on Wansfell AFAIK. Although I have
fond memories of Wansfell Colege.

That's enough, Reid! Two hours detention! I want a drawing of the bus
network in the Lake District National Park on my desk tomorrow morning
- use different colours for hourly frequency, two hourly frequency and
less than two-hourly.

And stop sniggering, Horne, otherwise you can join him and write an
essay on the advantages and disadvantages of Car Clubs!

Interested in sponsoring him in a record braking jet engined car 50

Italy is turning me into a grammar Nazi. These guys are all so

cared about!

Oddly, my shitty Italian never gets subjected to the same level of
criticism. I'm fluent and understandable, and that's more than is
expected!
