Default interrailing advice FRANCE/ITALY/CROATIA

hi,
im a 21 year old male student, wanting to interrail (i think) with one
friend for about 25 days or so june-july.

at the moment, my plan is to head through france (a lot of which we've
seen before) fairly quickly and then settle in italy and croatia for
about 16-20 days before heading back to the uk via places other than
france.

can anyone advise?

in particular, how best to make use of an interrail pass in italy and
then croatia - or else, simply where to go, where will be lively for
our sort of age etc...

just generally, all input and advice much appreciated.

how would people use 5 days from possibly Zagreb back to the UK.

thanks a lot.
