If you are self-employed -- as I believe you may have mentioned your
husband is -- there can be significant tax advantages to changing your car
quite frequently. That's one reason, at least.

Only if you use your car for work. My husband merely travels to work in
his car and can get no tax allowance on that.

You get the government to share a part of your costs. That doesn't wipe
out the advantage of significantly lower costs. It just costs you & the
government less. FFM
