Norway's not that religious a country, really, and their brand of
Lutheranism is pretty easy-going IME. No, they were real (fsvo 'real'
when mentioning cults and religion) satanists, I think- linked to a
heavy metal band or something. At least one murder was committed by
them, and I think the ringleaders are in jail now.

That's right. Varg "Count Grishnackh" Vikernes is serving a 21 year
sentence (the maximum possible) for killing another of the black metal
guys. He's assumed to have been behind several church burnings.
Vikernes has given up satanism, going for some version of the old norse
religion combined with neo-nazism.
Fantoft Stavkirke is in fact getting visits from black metal fans from
all of Europe these days.

That's right. Varg "Count Grishnackh" Vikernes is serving a 21 year
