On the road from Nikos Kasantzakis Airport to Heraklion?
In the middle of nowhere as soon as there is a bend in the road?
Maybe they should /start/ collecting then.

The whole area is infested with giant bluebottles on organic day when the
weather is hot. One day there will be an outbreak of cholera.
Did you pay the fine in the end?
For Jim Gibbering - there was an article in the local Leiden/Malaria News about
how mosquitoes can and do breed indoors in the water of plant pots. The article
was written by somebody it had happened too - the Leiden's city biologist.

Around 19941996 I was impressed by the piles of rubbish interspersed with
Nigerian prostitutes on rural roads on the southern outskirts of Rome and by the
locals who dumped rubbish and picked up prostitutes on the way to work. One
prostitute used to solicit from a battered armchair on top of a pile of rubbish.
