Basically, if you're Iraqi, or detained at Guantonomo, you're exempt
from talk about the 'Value of Human Life".

Funny how when Downing Street gets mentioned, the White House just
wants to move forward because it's just rehashing an old debate, but
when Jeb wants to revisit Terry Schiavo, it's "leaving no stone
unturned."

Why do you keep SPAMMING the newsgroups? Why do you feel your hate speech
is so important that you feel the need to keep repeating it?

Nope. I have nothing against modern technology -- as long
as such technology contains safeguards that make it IMPOSSIBLE
to hack into or corrupt the outcome of an election.

It's been proven that Diebold's machines can be hacked by a
knowledgable teenager... so it is VERY possible for a party (and its
leader) that is so unethical and prone even to using THUGGERY to
get its way (e.g., Watergate, and the intimidation of the vote-counters
in Florida in 2000) to have used that gross defiency to ENSURE that
our Warmonger-in-thief would get a second term.

Here's how EASY it would be to CORRECT such a possibility:

Congress needs only to pass a federal law that REQUIRES that
every electronic voting machine simultaneously produces evidence
on paper for every ballot cast. And then specify that the immediate
vote-counts produced when the polls close be regarded as *preliminary*
until MANDATED VERIFICATION of same in completed by tallying the
paper count.

But that would be too EASY and too HONEST... for a **ReTHUGlican**-
controlled Congress to do. So savvy Americans won't be holding our
breaths waiting for THAT to happen.

This should come as no surprise.

He is also unfamiliar with things like "law," "separation of powers," and
"none of your ****ing business."

He is, after all, a conservative Republican.

The Governor would be well advised to cut his losses on this one. The
autopsy confirmed that the late Mrs. Shivao had - for the most part -
no brain function. And the courts ran the full array of suits and
counter-suits. By now I would think that Jeb's actions during the
Schiavo case would have received approval of those of the seriously
misguided religious right.

What the Governor needs to do is start moving his political affiliation
away from the extreme right. Those fanatics scream loudly but they do
not hold the range of support they try to claim. The Republicans will
start losing elections unless they begin to distance themselves from
those extremists. And using the Schiavo case would give the Reps more
than enough justification to start doing so.

Dead people have no brain function.

Unproven. What many consider to be extremism is not really extremism.
It is the extremism that resists common sense and common order that needs to
shift.
Values voters are not going out of existence.

It is quite possible that you will see the shift continuing to the right.
