Ferry from Scotland to Northern Ireland
Hello, I am planning a trip to Scotland and Northern Ireland and would like
to take a ferry from Troon to N. Ireland. Can anyone tell me the names of
any of the companies that operate Pedestrian ferries (all of the ones I have
found on the internet are for car/driver)?
Thank you!

AFAIK all the ferries will allow foot passengers, the rates might not be as
well publicised though.

Airline-style check-in, at-seat service, hot and cold snacks and beverages
and complimentary children's fun packs are all features of the service.
A Blue Riband Club is operated for the business traveller, providing
priority loading and unloading, complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits,
together with a free newspaper. A Frequent Flyer Scheme is also offered for
regular travellers which discounts travel following the completion of five

http://www.ferrysavers.com/ has all the details - there's a ferry from
Stranraer to Belfast
A 5 day return for a foot passenger is from £24
You may find it is cheaper and more convenient to fly as Easyjet currently
has flights Glasgow to Belfast for the same sort of money

There is a fast "Seacat" service from Troon to Belfast.
It runs 3 times per day, takes 2h 30m and costs £10
single (random date in May 2003).
