Default Ferry from Scotland to Northern Ireland

Hello, I am planning a trip to Scotland and Northern Ireland and would like
to take a ferry from Troon to N. Ireland. Can anyone tell me the names of
any of the companies that operate Pedestrian ferries (all of the ones I have
found on the internet are for car/driver)?
Thank you!

AFAIK all the ferries will allow foot passengers, the rates might not be as
well publicised though.

Troon to Belfast is Isle of Man Steam Packet (Seacat)

"The Troon-Belfast service carries up to 80 vehicles and 450 passengers a
sailing at a service speed of 37 knots. Every passenger is guaranteed a
seat, either in the vessel's main cabin area or in its café/bars.
Airline-style check-in, at-seat service, hot and cold snacks and beverages
and complimentary children's fun packs are all features of the service.
A Blue Riband Club is operated for the business traveller, providing
priority loading and unloading, complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits,
together with a free newspaper. A Frequent Flyer Scheme is also offered for
regular travellers which discounts travel following the completion of five
journeys."

Most up-to-date fares will be using the online booking system at

But a single journey looks like being between GBP 15 to 24 in the above PDF.

Special offer - Travel on either our Belfast – Troon service as a foot
passenger for £10 (15 Euro) or on our Liverpool – Dublin service for just
£12 (18 Euro). Offer is valid for travel from 01/04/03 – 31/12/03 (Belfast -
Troon) and from 01/04/03 – 03/11/03 (Liverpool - Dublin). Offer must be
booked by 30th April 2003. Please use offer code DT/WF3 (single) or DT/ WF4
(return) when booking. All offers are subject to availability. No refunds.
Changes are subject to an amendment fee.

http://www.ferrysavers.com/ has all the details - there's a ferry from
Stranraer to Belfast

A 5 day return for a foot passenger is from £24

You may find it is cheaper and more convenient to fly as Easyjet currently
has flights Glasgow to Belfast for the same sort of money

There is a fast "Seacat" service from Troon to Belfast.
It runs 3 times per day, takes 2h 30m and costs £10
single (random date in May 2003).
