Default Croatia - what to do in Hvar, Brac & Split?

Hi there

I am travelling in Croatia from Dubrovnik to Split next month and planning
on the following itinerary - would appreciate any comments and thoughts on
what we should do in each place, particularly Hvar and Brac. We're planning
a mainly relaxing holiday so want to keep travelling between bases to a
minimum but want a nice mixture of fantastic, quiet beaches, sightseeing,
and some nice bar life during the evening:

6 nights: Dubrovnik (arrive from Bari). Think we've got this bit sussed -
any hidden gems/trips from here though?

Is Korcula worth a visit? Am more interested in Orebic but can we see the
place in a day? Or should we stay here for a night? I hear the beaches are
amazing and might try and hike up the mountain... Thinking take the morning
bus from Dubrovnik to Orebic, stay the night, then in the afternoon get a
ferry to Korcula and hook up with the ferry to Hvar (assuming this runs in
the afternoon - does anyone know?)

3 nights: Hvar. Is Vis worth a visit on a day trip from here? What can
people suggest for three nights here? Am I right in saying it's quite a
party town and will be lively? Anything else on the island we should visit?
Hear the Pakleni islands are meant to be amazing as a day trip.

Also, don't think we can get a boat from Brac-Hvar without going via
Split...is this the case? Is there a direct way to get between the islands?

3 nights: Brac - is this too long here? Think there are some beautiful
beaches but pretty quiet. What's the best way to explore the island?

1 day: Split (then we take overnight ferry to Ancona) - will just have a day
here so will see the main sights. Any hidden gems we can do in an hour,
though?

Please let me know if we're missing out on anything big with this itinerary!
Would be keen to hear your views. We are finishing the trip with a train
from Ancona-Venice and an afternoon/evening there before flying back...can't
wait!

Thanks for your help!

The centre of Split is the hidden gem.

Split is like nowhere else I've ever been, an amazing jumble of history
of different periods. I think you're shortchanging yourself here.

Dioklecijan's Roman Emperor summer house, it is right on the promenade and
you can't miss it....
BIG church tower is in middle....
