That sounds like a euphemism for sex. :-)

If Donna wants to talk to people about diabetes there a lots of groups
dedicated to this. She is far more likely to get help there than a guy
googling for his expertise.

When I have a medical problem I see a specialist. I find that better
than consulting non experts in newsgroups.

If you want to make bombs google is your friend :-)

There are some things that Google does not inform well on. Donna's
area of expertise in the history of medicine, in France. She is
often at libraries and archives. Occasionally she consults
items there for herself.

Once she was sitting at a table in a library and noticed that
her facial skin was developing rapidly an irritation, a strange
tingling sensation and it was progressing rapidly. On the shelf
next to where she was sitting was a 19th century French medical
book, so she grabbed up and looked up the symptoms of "zona",
which is shingles in France. That volume described facial zona
and she had those exact symptoms. So she headed home, called the
doctor and was in the doctor's office immediately.

The doctor said it was zona, and "how long have you had these symptoms? "
"About 3 hours", and the doctor responded, "great" since there
was an anti-viral drug which, if taken early, would block the disease.
Which it did.

I am sure that Google would give you this info, but if you google
<shingles facial treatment> you start with information overkill,
119,000 hits. So you start off with some of them and run into
the same information overkill in their contents.

But imagine going to Google if you have a severe chest pain!
The information overkill might kill you.

As a chemist, I am often tempted to give such bomb
making instructions with little errors involved in
their preparation which will blow up the bomb makers.

Who knows, some of the internet instructions may
have fatal errors in their description.

Downtown LA once lost a city block when the amateur
chemist working for a plating company came up
with a plating solution containing perchloric acid,
and acetic anhydride.

"Considerable interest has been taken in the explosion hazards to be
encountered in the use of perchloric acid since a mixture of perchloric acid
and acetic anhydride exploded in a Los Angeles factory in 1947, killing 15,
injuring 400, and causing $2 million in damage."*

http://www.auburn.edu/administration...erchloric.html

I lived in the area at the time, so it something I remembered. I had my own
home lab at the time but I stayed away from explosives. This was also
around the time that Texas City blew up when two freighters full of ammonia
nitrate took off.

In fact my question was addressed to Mixi not Donna. Magda has
reading difficulties. Her use of non standard attribution signs adds
to her confusion.
