Is this Arques France? If so, you'll get the schedules at bahn.de

That's a different one then to the Arques-la-Bataille that bahn.de
brings up. Looking at the map, it shouldn't be much of a problem. Maybe
train to one of the nearby towns (St. Omer?) and bus from there? I don't
know if France has a journey planner website which uses different modes
of public transport or not.

is it very funny
as Viamichelin gives only 3 towns called Arques..
but none of them is Arques la bataille
again. Arques pas de calais is about 137 kms from Brussles.
Bahn de gives me about 5 hours travelling time..

To Arques (Pas-de-Calais.) Bahn.de only found Arques la bataillewhen I
tried it, which is around 5 hours away. The one you want is only a few
km from St. Omer, which is easy-ish to get to from Brussels- some
journeys as little as 2h 30m.

BTW, both Arques (there are others too!) have wiki references.

Mappy has four Arques and two St Omer's!

Personally, I'd drive. But I guess you could go to Lille then change there
to the train to St.Omer (two different lines) as David suggest. Since
Arques is about 10 mins from St Omer, you could probably take a taxi from
there.
