Maybe train to one of the nearby towns (St. Omer?) and bus from there? I don't know if France has a journey planner website which uses different modes of public transport or not. -- David Horne- http://www.davidhorne.net usenet (at) davidhorne (dot) co (dot) uk http://www.davidhorne.net/pictures.html http://soundjunction.org |

Arques pas de calais is about 137 kms from Brussles. Bahn de gives me about 5 hours travelling time.. |

Bahn.de only found Arques la bataillewhen I tried it, which is around 5 hours away. The one you want is only a few km from St. Omer, which is easy-ish to get to from Brussels- some journeys as little as 2h 30m. BTW, both Arques (there are others too!) have wiki references. -- David Horne- http://www.davidhorne.net usenet (at) davidhorne (dot) co (dot) uk http://www.davidhorne.net/pictures.html http://soundjunction.org |

But I guess you could go to Lille then change there to the train to St.Omer (two different lines) as David suggest. Since Arques is about 10 mins from St Omer, you could probably take a taxi from there. |
