fan to understand, what matters is the outcome, not Ari Fleischer's
ravings or the photo-ops. It is going to take decades to actually
change Afghanistan. So far, we see that your hero dubya's 2003
budget, although setting new records for deficit spending, did NOT
contain ANY funds for Afghanistan Aid. That is, dubya and Rove's
attention spans are the predictable. (Osama who?)

Well, I can compensate for that! Instead of spending the usual $10,
000 plus per year on travel to the USA, we are going to have three trips
to France, the last of which will be for 6 weeks, as we look for a
permanent home there.

The US has pulled its elite snatch troops out of Afghanistan. In effect,
Bush has stopped
looking for OBL, although he is reported to be either in Afghanistan or
Pakistan.
So much for the priorities GWB set after 9/11.
What is even more bizarre, the other NATO troops that were supposed to
be engaged in the
search are reduced to policing Kabul.
