Bergen to Trondheim
I'll be in Bergen this summer. What's the best way to get to
Trondhiem?
I mostly want to go because there's a town just 30km east... Hell,
Norway... and I'm hoping they'll have a sign at the edge of town
saying "Welcome to Hell" or the Norwegian equivalent.

A real nice way is the "Hurtigruten" ships dep 20:00 every day and arr. to
Trondheim 08:15 the third way. Alternatively you have train but a detour
over Oslo is needed. Find out schedules on :

There's a tiny village named "Hell" but perhaps you'll be disappointed.
Don't know if there's a sign "Welcome to.." but there's a train station
bearing the name "HELL" and beside it a smaller building marked "GODS
EXPEDITION". Hell is an ordinary Norwegian name pointing on light while
"Gods Expedition" translates as freight office

Nor-Way Bussekspress run two direct busses
daily between Bergen and Trondheim. It takes about 14 hours and it
provides some nice views of the fjords and mountains.

This is a 'keeper'. I knew that in June I wouldn't get to see it
frozen over or residents ice-skating...
