Hi, I was wondering if any of you more seasoned travellers have used the audio tours
available from Bellew's tours? The tours are mainly for major Italian cities, and are
claimed to be the only audiotours offered at the Italian tourist bureaus. The
nickname of the entrepreneur is "The Cicerone." Any comments/good or bad experiences
with audio tours?
Thanks, Chris

I bought one of their tour tapes before leaving the states a few months age. I listened to it once on the flight over to Florence and when I was ready for a tour I plopped it in my walkman and was off hoofing it. It was surprisingly better than I'd expected. The tape is clear and it's interesting, not cut and dry stuff. I went on to Siena and Pisa after that and wished I'd bought the tour tapes for them as well. I'd say try it. It worked for me.
