It's made in China these days. Japan is far too expensive.
Those American sizes existed long before American manufacturing was shifted overseas.
In fact, I think you will find that those sizes are called by dufferent names
elsewhere in the world. - same sizes though.

It's made in China these days. Japan is far too expensive.
Those American sizes existed long before American manufacturing was shifted overseas.

batteries aren't batteries at all, but cells, but it's probably too late to worry
about that). I beleive the battery sizes were first designated in America. But I

this case, battery sizes are "of course" American *and* can the person find them in
Europe. One of the great joys of travel is to have all of your assumptions rise to
the surface so that you understand a bit more about yourself while you're dealing
with other cultures that happen to, have batteries.

stupid. When you leave the store they'll discuss with their co-workers that you are
indeed stupid to ask for a "cell". Figure out how to ask for a "AA cell" in French

Well, I've had to find batteries for cameras for myself and students, for my travel
alarm, etc., and never had any problem. I just ask for a replacement for the dead one
in my hand, which I have taken out in advance.
