Alitalia NY Q
I ahve a 6 hour stop over in New York, will most airlines let you on
earlier if they have extra room for a passanger?

You mean catch an earlier flight? It depends on the type of ticket
you have.

And BTW, if you have checked luggage and manage to catch an earlier
flight your luggage will not go with you.
