5 star covers a large area. Name names.
I am not aware of many hotels in that area that would be worth 120K FF
miles, not to mention that there are some cheap seats to Europe that
would be cheaper than using 120K miles for.

Mayan Palace good enough? Actually I do not care how many miles, I
need tix. Besides, AA or United miles may be worthless soon...
mrtravel, you seem to have a great reputation, just ran a search on
your handle. Do they pay you for this, or you benefit from it in a
different way?

I am not in the travel business. I am only offering an opinion.
So, it is a public forum. I offered an opinion on whether I thought 120K
miles was worth a week at most hotels in Mexico described as 5 star.
This in fairness to someone who might not know whether it is a good
deal or not.
You mentioned Acapulco and Mayan Palace.
Are you referring to:
http://www.mexicovacations.com/mx/9232.html or some other Mayan Palace.
It is showing 1 bedroom at $700 per week.
You want someone to trade you enough miles (120K) for two tickets to
Europe for a room that can be rented for $700 per week.
It isn't too difficult for the average person to find a buyer for at
least $1800 for the 120K miles.
