hmmm shudup Miserable here

xmax stuff...... for a lot of us here in the US it may be the last time we go shopping for a long time to come although most here don't even know it.

They will only realize it when the layoffs start in earnest.

You guys in PT are lucky. It may be bad overt here but wine is cheap.

Ask my friends (married couple) who both lost their jobs on January 1st,and are still unemployed....with 2 children, trying to live on benefits of 550 euros a month, how lucky they feel.

I think you may be right.

Here's some investment advice I just received from a good friend:

If you had purchased £1000 of Northern Rock shares one year ago they would now be worth £4.95.

With HBOS, earlier this week your £1000 would be worth £16.50.

£1000 invested in XL Leisure would now be worth less than £5.

But if you bought £1000 worth of Tennents Lager one year ago, drank it all,
then took the empty cans to an aluminium re-cycling plant, you would get
£214.

So based on the above statistics the best current investment advice is to
drink heavily and re-cycle.

I like that statistic

Well done to the scousers today and an extra special well done to the mighty Rams winning their first away match since March 2007!
