sorry - not sure that the link will work but basically the admin bit dealing with residency applications and our Cards will be given to IRN.

Thanks for that ... we will have to see when they get round to dealing with the backlog! The few dealings we have had so far with the IRN have been reasonably uncomplicated. Of course what is not clear is whether the SEF staff concerned will actually get drafted into IRN to carry on with their work (in which case can we expect "Go-Slows"?) or do new/existing IRN staff have to learn the job? Meanwhile we all cart about with us the pile of tatty A4 paperwork to prove our legal presence in the country!
