Strange rental agreement?
A Poruguese estate agent gave me the following strange information about the period of a rental agreement:
by Portuguese law the period of rental is only valid for the first third of the contract.
So, if you have a rental agreement for a year, the landlord/landlady can reposses the property in the fifth month.
Is this true, or have I misunderstood?

Re: Strange rental agreement?
Not unusual to insert an early break clause into a contract. that is also done in the UKm but by agreement at the outset of the contract. perhaps something is lost in translation?
e.g. ''Under Portuguese law. the contract can have early break clause inserted, for example etc etc''''
