Actually i agree with you to a certain extent.
But when someone describes most of the people i know (and i am indeed one of them - poor, old, sick, foreign pre-taxed Pensioner in a wholly derogatory manner - then i'm Pi*sed off enough to make a direct reply.
Especially as the spoiled brats only point to make is that he can't afford a nice car -

Lol,because i like your name s00-00 much, no more negatives b Red lips.

GED , just 1 point about the car stuff
I do agree car prices are steep here, so i asked the local businessmen about it in the bar.
They said a huge percentage of new car purchasers in Portugal are business, big or small and the first thing they do is claim the IVA back, hence reducing the price by 20-whatever percent is in force at the time - only the rich and foreigners do what we do.
I also find servicing, insurance, road tax etc much cheaper than the UK, reducing the price difference over time.

I like to keep my cheap old car out where it can be seen; NO MONEY HERE!
If you want to rob or burgle someplace, you'd no doubt be better off at the house where that big gleaming SUV lives...
Hey, if I have to drive an old car, I might as well take what little comfort it gives me.
Depreciation over 3 years... about 2 or 3G I guess. I've done about 60,000 km in it.
Turbo-diesel, 16 kml [real life], 20kml [factory claim].
