Default Shuttle bus?

Hi can anyone give recommendations for the best shuttle service between Faro and Lagos area?

Have got 3 pick ups on different days next week and really don't fancy it in this heat!

Found www.shuttledirect.com but always like personal recommendations.

You may need to be careful. My daughter booked with resort hooper on the web, but site crashed when she entered pick up address. She received confirmation email and money taken from credit card. But confirmation had no address! Numerous emails over two weeks completely ignored. Eventually telephoned the company and they said 'read terms and conditions', address must be registered tourist location, which meant that they would not use our actual address. That was why web site crashed.

As our place is not in tourist area and they would only drop off at registered tourist location (the person on the phone could not provide any tourist registered locations and could also not confirm any address she was given y my daugter was registered tourist), how ridiculous. Then the person on the phone said she had sent to long on the call and that she needed to hang up!

My daughter said she wanted to cancel. They said that as it was less than 14days to pick up/drop off date (it was 13 days but emails about booking had been sent over previous 2 weeks) she would have to pay cancellation fee = £30.

The charge for their pick up was only £24!!! And a private taxi rather than a shared mini bus like they provide is only £32.

So be very careful and read terms and conditions carefully before booking with anyone.

We have used suntransfers and would not use them again. We had private transfer, which turnout to be in transit mini van, no air con., lapbelts only, and more suitable for building tradesman and his tools.

We have also used faroairporttransfers. They collected us in almost new mercedes estate on two occassions and once in a new minibus for 10, with airconditioning, which we had all to ourselves. They may not be the cheapest but they drop us at our door and collect us from our door and we have always been very pleased with their service.

Glad you said that Fergus as we've just booked with them for the first time for the end of this month for our son and his mates. One of the plus points was an easy to use web site.

Hope they are as good as you say, price seemed reasonable, but I'm not sure I'd always go with cheapest?

I was looking just for a single traveller, which is why I was thinking shuttle.

Tried looking through that other thread but just one name kept cropping up and he's more suitable for private hire.

Really need a reputable shuttle that does what it says on the tin! Not worried about drop offs as I can go pick up locally just had enough of doing airport runs as I have 3 kids on school hols and they don't really enjoy the journey...My only necessity is that there isn't too much walking involved Faro end.

My son and his friends always use Faro Airport Transfers, and I have used them myself with no problems. Only trouble is, my wife doesn't like the way they hammer it down the motorway, so we're taking the train next month - much more sedate and the bus from the station trundles to the airport as well.

We always use A to B Transfers(usually book it through travel Republic web site),last weekend it cost me just £11.42 for a return Journey, they are reliable and seem to to have some good drivers, only thing is sometimes you may have to wait half an hour for another flight to arrive, mind you sometimes i have been the only person on the mini bus
