hi im considering moving to portugal well i will be moving to portugal before october.
ive done a lot of research over the last year and from what ive learned its far from easy and probably dearer to live than here.
ive learned a lot about rent car licences etc that are needed to live ,drive etc in portugal but i have a few questions that only experience will answer.
im a qualified auto electrician and mechanic i would like to start up on my own doing cars up for sale, fitting alarms etc etc.
do you think there would be work out there for me, i also have qualifications in domestic electrical installation and testing and i have acheive a competence certificate in domestic alarm fitting.
i was considering a little workshop and small vehicle and doing repairs of cars and alarm fitting plus household electrics/alarms work if neccessary
just wanted to get some opinions.
money is not the object more a bit of sun & relaxation and not to feel life is shooting by so fast without enjoying it.

If you don't need to earn a living wage you can probably "wing it". If you are going to depend on the money you will find it more difficult. I know Brits who are doing OK because they are charming and reliable and do things which expats with no Portuguese language want. They are all as legal as is possible here, though.
