Anyone know it there is an equivalent to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors here in Portugal?

I think you will find the RICS is international

go to http://www.ricsfirms.com/
and do a search based on Portugal and you will find 125 firms listed
some of which are regulated and you can do alternate searches for this as well

hope this helps

Just curious, but why do you seek RICS locally ? My feelings are, that unless they have been here for some time, they would not appreciate the idiosyncrasies of the construction industry. Just make sure they have been locally based for a while, then no problem. BA
