I have a small jar of them, Ingles, if you're interested. Brought over by a friend from England.

What are you pickling at this time of year? I prefer wine or apple vinegar for pickles and chutneys.

A lot of pubs used to have a jar of pickled eggs behind the bar. I never fancied them because you couldn't tell how long they had been there. According to my Jams and Pickles book they are best consumed with some beer after 3 weeks of pickling. I wonder if they go with a glass of red wine?
